Buying a car on Carbhartics
What is Carbhartics?
Carbhartics is an Indian online car marketplace, based in Kolkata, where buyers browse, compare and book new and used cars online at city-specific on-road prices, with a small part payment to reserve the car.
How do I buy a car online on Carbhartics?
Choose your city, pick a car, variant and colour, and book it with a part payment of at least ₹5,000 (up to 5% of the final price). You pay the remaining balance later from your order history, before delivery.
What does the on-road price on Carbhartics include?
The on-road price is the ex-showroom price plus road tax for your city, insurance and TCS (1% on cars above ₹10 lakh), minus any offers that apply to that variant, colour and city. That is why prices differ between cities — Carbhartics shows them for Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow.
Are there charges on the booking payment?
Online payments carry 2% payment gateway charges plus 18% GST on those charges; cash and cheque payments carry no charge.
Can I exchange my old car when buying a new one?
Yes. Request an exchange quote on the Deal for You page. Once you accept the quote, its value can be applied once against a new car, and it is deducted from the price you pay.
Can I negotiate the price of a new car?
Yes. On Deal for You, the listed price is the opening offer and you can counter with the price you want to pay. If the Carbhartics team accepts, you buy the car at that agreed price.
How much does a test drive cost?
A test drive of one car at a showroom is free. A home test drive of up to 3 cars at your doorstep costs ₹1,111.
How much does car-buying consultancy cost?
A one-on-one session with a car expert is priced by time slot: Dawn (4:30 PM – 7:00 PM) ₹1, Morning (11:00 AM – 4:00 PM) ₹1,250, Evening (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM) ₹5,000. You choose a brand or general advice, and an expert is assigned to you.
Does Carbhartics offer pre-delivery inspection?
Yes. A pre-delivery inspection costs ₹2,000, and end-to-end service coordination costs ₹3,500. Both are booked and paid online.
